Hi there I have posted elsewhere on the forum under another heading. Apologies if this is not the appropriate way to ask for help, but I have found my 16 year old diary from 1989 and reading about David Walker, who was 19 and from Knighton and working in Builth Wells during the Royal Welsh Show. He studied at Birmingham Art College and that is all that I know. We lost touch after letter writing for a while. I have lovely innocent memories of our meeting eachother and him putting a flower through the paper that had his address on it. We didn't have paper and so we asked a passing policeman for a page out of his note book! I can't find David through Facebook and like Builth, I know that Knighton is a small community and it is possible he still has connections with Knighton or that his family still lives there. I had a wonderful brief friendship (that's not a euphemism! ) with a boy of 19 from Knighton, called David Walker who studied at Birmingham art college and was working at the Royal Welsh Show. Gerddi Bluog was sold by the school privately (I think to the farmers family in 2005 ish) and we found out in May 2019 it's just been sold on again. I would love to know who now owns it and what their plans are. Many many fond memories of family holidays there when it was owned by the school.
