Hello. I am an American with roots in Logavinshire. My one of my paternal great grandmothers was Mary Elizabeth Liston, daughter of Thomas Liston, who was born around 1818, maybe earlier, and emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada, in 1841 from Limerick. I have learned that he had two brothers, Patrick and James and a sister Margaret (married to John Gleeson), who emigrated before 1850 to Litchfield, Connecticut. Patrick and James moved to Bloomington, Illinois, by 1853. I have worked in the Tithe Applotments, Griffiths, the Agricultural loans to confirm the family in Logavinshire. I have been hoping that there was some history of Logavinshire and the families that have lived there over time and perhaps someone in this forum could help me with that.

I descend from their daughter Mary 1872-1959 who immigrated to Wethersfield CT. Her brothers, Cornelius, John and Patrick came over to Wethersfield too and I have US documentation that John and Patrick say they were born in Lassanaroe. My Mary married a Jeremiah Michael Donovan who was born in Wethersfield, CT. This Jeremiah's father was also a Jeremiah Donovan born in Ireland. Too many Jeremiah Donovans!! I found documentation on irishgenealogy.ie that Ellen Donovan's parents are Jeremiah Donovan and Mary Sullivan. They were living in Clohane. Siblings are Denis, Mary, John, Catherine and Ellen. Mary married Eugene Hourihan. I think Ellen's father Jeremiah was also named Jeremiah. His father was Timothy, as I have seen a Griffith's valuation for Lassanaroe for Timothy Donovan and sons.
