Occasions fasting in this time of Trouble : This could be an Event that sets us free as a Nation: We are God’s People and we are here, we Believe Him, so let us seek Him. Praying for health: Is a Biblical understanding. "David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground" (2 Samuel 12:16) Do we not need Health at this time? I think so. Praying for safety: Do we not have a need to be safe? As an act of repentance: Should we not be ready to leave this world saved. Sometimes we think we have no sins but we are human and when we came to God through John 3:15-17 we did not become a God who can’t sins we were forgiven, we are His, He did make us more that all we were, but we can and do fall down, we do need to repent when we have sins.
